Additionally, the implementation of the Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS) depreciation provided Baymont Inn with accelerated cost recovery, reducing their taxable income and optimizing financial gains. Furthermore, the hotel capitalized on a utility rebate that offered a cash incentive based on the system’s capacity and performance, further bolstering the project’s economic viability.
